Funeral of Mayo man who died tragically in Brisbane

THE funeral arrangements have been announced for Kevin Moran, Cushlecka, Mulranny, who died tragically following a road traffic accident in Brisbane, Australia, on Friday, March 11.

His remains will be reposing at his residence on Tuesday from 3 o’clock with removal on Wednesday morning to Mulranny Church for Requiem Mass at 12 o’clock.

Burial takes place afterwards in Murrivaugh Cemetery, Mulranny.

In his early 30s, Kevin had been a noted rugby player and starred for Connaught at underage level as well as for Westport Bulls. He also played soccer with Mulranny United and Gaelic football for Burrishoole GAA Club.

He was predeceased by his father, John, and is survived by his mother Ann, brothers Johnny and David, and sisters Carmel, Cathy and Emily, to whom heartfelt sympathy is tendered.

He is also deeply mourned by his fiancé Ann Marie Perry, a native of London, to whom he had been due to marry.
