Castlebar school's entry - Beccara Bandini.

Mayo students in Junk Kouture national finals

STUDENTS from two Mayo schools are looking for your vote in the final of the Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture 2016 competition.

Beccara Bandini is the title of the entry from St. Joseph's Secondary School, Castlebar, students Una Togher, Anna Coll and Rachel Barrett. The teacher is Ms. Geary.

Representing St. Mary's Secondary School, Ballina, with their entry, Scalelectric, are students Danielle Carey, Jennifer Byrne and Leona Lavelle. Their teacher is Ms. Cronin.

The public can vote for their favourite design through the Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture voting app. Accessed through the BOIStudents Facebook page (www.facebook.com/BOIstudents), voting is now open until 12 midnight on Friday, April 8. Individuals can cast a single vote every 24 hours. Votes account for 10% of the final mark and can make a huge difference in such a heated competition.

Bank of Ireland is encouraging students to think innovatively about how they gather support through the voting app with a special Bank of Ireland Enterprise Award in the mix for the most innovative designer at the grand final.
