Mayo gardaí in cannabis swoop

GARDAÍ have made two cannabis finds in the Mayo area.

The first swoop was on a dwellinghouse in the Westport area on Friday night.

What gardaí describe as a significant quantity of cannabis resin was discovered.
In a second search, on Saturday, in the Crossmolina area, further cannabis was seized.

Both operations were conducted by the Mayo Divisional Drugs Unit backed up by local gardaí.
