Motorcyclist killed in Mayo crash

A YOUNG male motorcyclist died today (Sunday) following a fatal road crash at Mountfalcon, between Foxford and Ballina, it has been confirmed.

Gardaí aren’t releasing the name of the deceased until all relatives have been informed.

It’s understood the victim is in his thirties and was a native of Mayo.

He died after his bike collided with a van shortly after half past three.

Diversions were in place for a number of hours following the impact as gardai carried out a technical examination of the scene.
