Achill Rovers nominated for UEFA Grassroots Club of the Year

ACHILL Rovers have been officially entered into the 2016 UEFA European Grassroots Club of the Year competition, representing the Republic of Ireland.

The Mayo Football League has taken the opportunity to extend its congratulations to Achill Rovers, the current Irish and Mayo Club of the Year, and wish them success in this year's competition.

The MFL would also encourage all Mayo clubs to enter the Aviva FAI Club of the Year. The closing date is Friday (May 13) and it only takes a few minutes to enter.

This is the 11th year of the competition and already two winners have come from Mayo - Manulla FC and Achill Rovers - while Killala AFC were runners-up in 2010.
