Two national titles for Mayo at restaurant awards

THE Restaurants Association of Ireland hosted the All-Ireland Irish Restaurant Awards in the the DoubleTree by Hilton, Dublin, last night and named the top restaurants in Ireland for 2016.

The George V Dining Room at Ashford Castle claimed the Connaught and All-Ireland Classic Drinks & Champagne Pannier Best Wine Experience 2016 title.

Also winning a national title was Rua, Castlebar, named as Connaught and All-Ireland Aryzta Food Solutions Best Café 2016 award winner.

The Idle Wall, Westport, was named as BWG Foodservice’s Best Newcomer in Connaught while The Pantry & Corkscrew, Westport, was awarded the San Pellegrino Best Casual Dining in Connaught title.

The Library Restaurant at Belleek Castle, Ballina, was named as Elavon Best Hotel Restaurant in Connaught.
