Mayo motorist arrested after crashing into pillar

A MAN has been arrested following a single vehicle collision in Castlebar today.

Gardaí in the county town were called out to College View estate, off the main Castlebar to Westport Road, after the motorist crashed into a pillar at the entrance to the estate.

He received treatment for minor injuries at Mayo General Hospital and was arrested for a motoring offence.
