VIDEO: Radio legend wants to change Irish cooking habits
IRISH broadcaster Ray D’Arcy is helping to roll out SuperValu’s Good Food Karma project across the country.
His show on RTÉ Radio One today was live from the drawing room of the historic Westport House as part of an initiative aimed at getting Irish people to cook one more meal from scratch per week.
He will be broadcasting from Dingle tomorrow and Kinsale on Wednesday before moving on to Wexford on Thursday.
The Good Food Karma Project Roadshow is led by SuperValu’s team of ambassadors, including celebrity chefs Kevin Dundon and Martin Shanahan, Dublin footballer Bernard Brogan, The Happy Pear’s David and Stephen Flynn and former All-Ireland camogie player Anna Geary, all of whom will help Ireland improve their culinary skills.
After his programme, Ray D’Arcy spoke to reporter Claire McNamara of The Connaught Telegraph about his own love of cooking.
