Make waves online for Mayo's Olympic swimmer

ALL eyes will be on Castlebar swimmer Nicholas Quinn when he competes at the Rio Olympics this Saturday.

While Nicholas hopes to make a big impression in the pool, back home your support is being sought to make major waves on social media.

Everyone is being asked to join the conversation tomorrow (Friday, August 5) at 12 p.m. using the Hashtags #NicholasQuinn #RioOlympics2016.

The aim is to show as much support for Nicholas and his family by creating a stir on social media. It can't be done without the help of the local community, clubs, businesses, etctera, so join in and offer any words of encouragement and support for our Olympian.

The Olympic Games commence tomorrow, when Nicholas will be part of the Irish Olympic team at the game's opening ceremony.

Nicholas will swim his breastroke heats in the Olympic Aquatic Stadium on Saturday and next Tuesday.
