Craggagh school flying flag in Rio
A MAYO school are flying the flag at the Olympic Games in Rio.
The pupils of Craggagh National School, between Balla and Kiltimagh, have sent a flag over to the games and are busy tracking its progress.
The 'tour' came about as an aunt of two of the pupils is on physio duty at the games.
Regina Flanagan, who is volunteering with the athlete medical team, is an aunt of pupils Amy and TJ McNicholas. She is staying at the Olympic Village.
Regina asked if the school would like to send along a mascot or some memento on tour, and they presented her with a blue and red flag.
Since her departure, the pupils have been tracking the flag's progress. 'Sightings' of the flag have included the world famous Christ the Redeemer statue.
