Ava chops off her hair for charity
AVA King is sporting a new look having generously given away some of her lovely locks for charity.
Eight-year-old Ava, from Castlebar, recently cut 14 inches off her hair and raised a substantial figure of €1,755.80 for Mayo Cancer Support, Rock Rose House.
She is pictured here by Michael Donnelly presenting a cheque to Trisha Greavy, general manager of Mayo Cancer Support, which support and therapies to people affected by cancer and their families.
The haircut took place on June 27 at Maura Kelly’s Hair Salon and the hair itself was donated to the Rapunzel Foundation, which uses the hair to make wigs to improve the lives of those living with hair loss.
A huge thank you to all who sponsored Ava.
