Sun set to make brief return

DON'T get too excited but chances are we'll see some sun over Mayo this weekend.

Met Éireann are forecasting that Saturday will bring a good deal of dry weather with sunny spells, but a few scattered showers too, mainly in the west and north. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees with moderate westerly breezes.

Sunday will be warm and dry with good sunny spells, with highest temperatures of 20 to 22 degrees.

Monday will be dry with good sunshine and it'll be warm, with highs of 20 to 23 degrees.

Tuesday will be even warmer, though very humid, with highest temperatures of 21 to 25 degrees. It will be mainly dry. However, it looks like rain will move in from the west in the evening and early night. Current weather indications suggest that Wednesday and Thursday next will be mostly cloudy days with rain or showers at times. Temperatures will drop back to the mid to high teens.
