Castlebar mourns death of young woman
THE death of Cathriona Kelly (nee Hopkins), Brookhaven, Castlebar, and formerly of 12 Knockthomas Drive, Castlebar, has evoked a huge sense of loss and sorrow in the community.
Aged 34 years, she was a much loved and respected young woman in the community.
Deepest sympathy is extended to her husband Ruairí, mother Ina, sisters Therese (Gordon) Castlebar, Brenda (O'Donnell), Enfield, and Paula (Doherty) Ballybay, Co. Monaghan, and brother Peter, Castlebar.
She is also survived by her grandmother Mary Hopkins, Laraganboy, Ballyhaunis, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
The deceased was a daughter of the late Brendan Hopkins and daughter-in-law of Bridie Kelly and the late Tony Kelly, Pheasant Hill, Castlebar.
Her remains will be reposing at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., arriving at St. Aloysius Church, Breaffy on Monday morning at 10.30 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m, with the funeral proceeding to Castlebar New Cemetery.
