Mayo firm to invest €1m in new stores and creation of 20 jobs

MAYO family owned fashion, jewellery and giftware retail chain, Carraig Donn, has announced a €1 million investment in the opening of two new stores in Mullingar and Douglas and the refurbishment of its Liffey Valley store which will see the creation of 20 new jobs overall.

The announcement will bring the total workforce of the Group to 450 and will take the number of Carraig Donn outlets to 36, alongside a significant ecommerce presence at www.carraigdonn.com

The investment in the company’s Irish operations across three key locations in Douglas Village, Cork; Harbour Place in Mullingar and Liffey Valley in Dublin represents the latest step in Carraig Donn’s expansion plan.

Announcing the opening of the new stores and jobs, Pat Hughes, CEO of Carraig Donn said: “We are delighted to be opening stores in Douglas, Mullingar and our newly refurbished store in Liffey Valley.
