Road at Ballinrobe has reopened following accident

A SECTION of the main Ballinrobe to Castlebar road has reopened this evening after it was closed for a period following a two-car collision near the Gulf Oil Mace outlet on the outskirts of the south Mayo town.

Emergency service had been at the scene and the early indications are that those involved in the accident have escaped without serious injuries. 

Big volumes of traffic had built at the location while diversions were in place.
