Road closed in south Mayo after two-car crash

A SECTION of the main Ballinrobe to Castlebar road remains closed this evening after a two-car collision earlier near the 0Gulf Oil Mace outlet on the outskirts of the south Mayo town.

Emergency service have been at the scene.

Although diversions are in place, huge volumes of traffic have been building up at the location.

Gardai are advising commuters to avoid the area if at all possible this evening.

But it is hoped the road will reopen soon.
