Incident of street blackguardism in Mayo is condemned

AN incident of street blackguardism which took place on the streets of Castlebar last night has been condemned.

Refuse from a bin was thrown over a car parked at Tucker Street in the town, much to the anger of the owner.

Passers-by were also disgusted when they witnessed the state in which the street was left after the incident.

One witness, who did not wish to be named, stated: 'I never saw anything quite like this before.

'It is terrible to think that somebody could park their car in the town centre at night and return to find it in such condition. It's bizarre.'

It is understood a complaint has been made to An Garda Siochana about the matter.
