Community Step Out For Lucy

THE community put its best foot forward this weekend in a show of solidarity for the Tuohy family at the Step Out For Lucy event at Lough Lannagh, Castlebar, yesterday (Saturday) morning.

Young Lucy Tuohy was injured in a traffic accident a week ago. Castlebar Mitchels, Castlebar Mitchels Ladies Club, other local clubs in the town, plus the pupils of St. Joseph's Secondary School, joined with members of the public to run the 5k route around the lake in a show of support for Lucy and her family.

Well done to everyone who turned out in huge numbers to support the family during these very difficult times for them. It was great to see such community spirit on display.
