Man seriously injured in road traffic crash

A MAN has been seriously injured in a road collision which took place outside Tuam in the early hours of this morning.

A section of the Tuam-Dunmore Road remains closed to traffic following the collision in which several others were injured and taken to hospital.

Four people were in the car when the collision occurred at around 3 a.m. on the Dunmore side of Brownsgrove.

Diversions are in place at Brownsgrove and, according to An Garda Siochana, teh read is expected reopen to traffic around 2 p.m. today.
