Kiltimagh man appointed acting head of Mayo GMIT campus

KILTIMAGH man Michael Gill has been appointed acting head of the Mayo campus of GMIT.

The announcement was made by Dr. Fergal Barry, president of GMIT, after meeting with staff today to discuss concerns over future funding for the Mayo campus of the Institute.

Mr. Gill resides in Swinford and has been working as head of the Business, Humanities and Technology Department at the Castlebar facility.

As acting head of campus, Mr. Gill will work with the GMIT Executive Board on developing a sustainable strategy for the institute.
