Mayo could be facing a force 10 Christmas storm - weather indication

ACHILL Island Coast Guard has issued an early severe weather indication ahead of Christmas week.

It stated: “The charts are giving an early indication of a possible storm for the west coast on December 23/24. There is a possibility of storm force 10 winds from the W & SW.

“We will continue to monitor this event and keep you updated.”
