On best leisure tourism innovation shortlist
MAYO'S iconic Westport House has been shortlisted in the Best Leisure Tourism Innovation category of the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC) Awards.
These prestigious awards give recognition to and promote people, companies and organisations – overseas and at home – that have made significant contributions to developing, marketing, selling and delivering improved visitor experiences in Ireland and to increasing the number of visitors from overseas.
In their category of county based best leisure tourism innovation, Westport House features among the best and brightest in Irish tourism. Also shortlisted are the Commissioners of Irish Lights, Fortress Spike Island, Cork, Lough Key Forest and Activity Park, Roscommon, and Powerscourt Estate in Wicklow.
The winners will be announced on February 3 at a gala function in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
