Blow for Ballina as Crocket's ceases trading
POPULAR Ballina pub and restaurant Crocket's on the Quay has ceased trading, but management are saying the premises will re-open in the near future. The announcement was made on the business's Facebook page yesterday evening.
A 'customer notice' said that it was with 'great sorrow and regret' it was informing people that as of yesterday (Friday, January 13), Crocket's was ceasing to trade and would remain closed 'until further notice'.
The statement from management continued: “The success of Crocket's since it opened under new management in May 2013 has been largely due to its customer base. We have tried hard to make each one of our customers happy through exceptional customer services and we are very grateful to you for trusting in us to provide you with quality food and fun filled evenings and nights out. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your custom.”
They advised that queries regarding bookings, vouchers, orders, etc, would be dealt with 'in due course' and apologised for any inconvenience caused 'during this difficult transition'.
In a second, shorter post later yesterday, Crocket's advised customers not to worry about outstanding vouchers as they would be 'honoured or redeemed', and said: “Please watch this space, we will be re-open very soon. Many thanks for your patience and co-operation.”
