Castlebar-born priest dies in Galway

THE death has taken place Rev. Fr. Sean Kilcoyne, Renmore, and late Chaplain, Bon Secours Hospital, Galway.

The deceased was a native of Castlebar. He was a brother of Fr. Colm Kilcoyne, Rathbawn Drive, and Mrs. Olive Hynes, Pontoon Drive, Castlebar.

He is also survived by his sister Marcella (Galway), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, his friends Martin and Phil, bishops and priests of Galway Diocese and former colleagues in Post and Telegraphs, relatives, neighbours and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Rita (neé Monaghan).

His remains will be reposing at Aras Naofa in the grounds of St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Renmore on Sunday evening from 4 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to adjoining church.

Requiem Mass takes place on on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in the family plot at Donapatrick Cemetery, Caherlistrane, Co. Galway.
