Parkland award for local golf club

WESTPORT Golf Club has got 2017 off to a flying start with the recent award of Best Parkland Course in Connaught.

Club chairman Des Mahon and vice-captain Martin Gillen travelled to Carton House to accept the prize.

In accepting the award on behalf of the members and staff, Mr. Mahon commented: “The award is recognition for the hard work undertaken by everybody in cementing Westport Golf Club as the premier parkland destination in the west of Ireland.”
