Fionn has been a central figure in Westport's historic success

FIONN McDonagh was a consistently high performer in helping Westport to win county and provincial honours.

Westport captured the Mayo intermediate football title in November. They were pushed to a replay in the semi-final by Shrule-Glencorrib before turning out four days later to defeat Kiltimagh in the final.

Now they have qualified for an All-Ireland final against St. Colmcille's, Meath, at Croke Park later this month in what will be an historic occasion for the club and Fionn's role is the club's success has been central. He also played with Mayo in the FBD League last month.

He will receive his award at Friday night's function at Breaffy House Resort, the main sponsors of which are Baxter.
