Ciara is setting new goals for herself in the ring

AFTER a long break from the ring to concentrate on her studies, Ciara Ginty returned to winning ways at the end of 2016 when she captured the 64kg national senior boxing title with a unanamous win over Nicole Moorehouse in the National Stadium in Dublin.

Ginty looked comfortable and in control as she saw off the Wexford girl and enjoyed her first competitive fight since she took a break over a year and a half ago.

The former World Junior Gold Medal winner and Olympic Youth Silver Medal holder, looks to be gearing up for what could a very promising year ahead and her coach, Pat McDonagh, has every confidence that the Geesala boxer has the necessary talent, desire and belief to achieve new goals in the year ahead.
