Minor pleads guilty to arson attack on cars and other offences
A 17-year-old youth has pleaded guilty at the Circuit Criminal Court, sitting in Castlebar, today to arson attacks on two motor vehicles at various locations in Co. Mayo last year.
The vehicles involved were a Citroen C5 and a Volkswagen Polo.
The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also pleaded guilty to the unauthorised taking of a mechanically propelled vehicle, driving without insurance or a driving licence and the theft of diesel, valued €60.64, from a filling station.
He will appear again before Judge Rory McCabe for sentencing on June 15.
