Turlough boasts Mayo's highest land prices

A REPORT conducted by the Farmers Journal has revealed the average price of land in Mayo last year was €5,701 per acre, little change from the previous year.

Land in the Turlough area cost up to €12,300 per acre while it was little as €1,600 per acre in Kiltimagh.

Over 80 farms, consisting of over 3,200 acres, were placed on the market during the year, twice as many as in 2015.
