Local depot manager named Top Oil Person of the Year
TOP Oil has named Patrick Cleary, depot manager of their Ballina and Castlebar facilities, as Top Oil Person of the Year for 2016.
The award was announced as part of the annual Top Oil mid-season review meeting, which took place in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris, and was attended by Top Oil chief executive Gerard Boylan and members of the senior management team.
Patrick, a native of Sligo, has been working with Top Oil for eight years. Patrick, who manages a team of 24 people in a busy operation in a key strategic area for the company, was awarded this honour of Top Oil Person of the Year in recognition of his consistent dedication and hard work ethic despite ongoing personal health challenges in his life.
He does a lot of charity work, raising much-needed funds for local and national charities such as the Irish Kidney Association, which is very close to his heart.
Mr. Boylan said the company was delighted to give this prestigious award to Patrick. “He is a loyal, hardworking and enthusiastic member of our Top Oil team in the western region, who has consistently delivered despite his recent health challenges,” the chief executive added.
“At Top Oil, our employees are a core part of our business; we interact with customers every day in our retail sites and while delivering to our customers’ homes, so acknowledging outstanding employees is important to us. Patrick is a worthy recipient and we sincerely congratulate him on winning this award.”
Patrick said: “I was delighted to have received the award, but very shocked really. I would like to thank my regional manager, Cliona Ni Mhurchu, and my team in the Ballina and Castlebar depots for their support down through the years. I'd also like to thank all the staff in the west region depots and in Dublin for being such supportive colleagues. Finally, please remember Organ Donor Awareness Week is April 1 to April 8 - have that chat and get that donor card!”
