Enterprise Town initiative will return to Belmullet next month
BANK of Ireland has announced that its Enterprise Town initiative will be returning to Belmullet on Friday, April 7, from 5 to 8.30 p.m.
Taking place in Áras Inis Gluaire, the event features a business, community and sports expo as well as plenty of family friendly activity throughout the day.
Over the course of the evening, over 30 exhibitors will display a wide variety of products and services, and Bank of Ireland is calling on those living and working in Belmullet to come and support these local businesses.
The event will feature a special sports discussion with the 'voice of Gaelic games', commentator Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh, and the local Geesala Boxing Club will take part in the sports/community expo.
Local entrepreneur Kathleen Doocey, recent star of RTÉ’s Nationwide, will give a motivation talk, while Bizworld presentations, face painting, a children’s treasure hunt and spot prizes are also among the day’s other highlights - and with much more entertainment to look forward to as well, this event is not to be missed.
The evening will also feature an enterprise hub which will provide support to local businesses. The hub will involve digi-marketing and Local Enterprise Office supports to SMEs and one-on-one advice on ‘better ways to bank'.
The Enterprise Town initiative aims to promote enterprise and drive business momentum for local businesses and the wider sports and social community in the locality by connecting residents with all the town has to offer.
Events are free to attend and are open to both customers and non-customers of Bank of Ireland, which is investing in excess of €1.2 million in its Enterprise Town initiative in 2017. Following the success of the Enterprise Town programme in 2016, which involved 100 communities across the country, Bank of Ireland has confirmed that over 120 Enterprise Town events will take place nationwide this year.
Belmullet Bank of Ireland branch manager Anthony Flynn said: “The local community have embraced this initiative wholeheartedly, and working together we have organised a very exciting programme of activity. The event will be free to attend and is open to all. It is a fantastic opportunity for the community to see the level of enterprise here in Belmullet.”
