Joy over Lucy's return after recovery from accident

CASTLEBAR Comets Under 16 girls were well beaten by Kiltmagh Giants in the Mayo Basketball Cup final held in Ballina.

But the return of their injured captain, Lucy Tuohy, was better than any silverware, according to team coach Stephanie Flannery.

Lucy was injured in a road accident in Castlebar some months back while walking near her home.

But thankfully she is making a full recovery from her injuries and was able to join her team-mates at the finals in Ballina where they presented her with an Easter hamper.

“Just to see the smile on the face of Lucy and the smiles of her team-mates was worth any silverware. We are so happy that she was able to join us at the finals as the team captain,” said Stephanie.
