Man arrested after incident on train stopped at Ballyhaunis station

A MAN has been arrested by gardaí following an incident on the Dublin to Westport train yesterday evening, it has been confirmed. 

The incident occurred while the train was stopped at Ballyhaunis Railway Station.

Gardaí were called to the scene by Irish Rail and a man was removed from the train and arrested for an alleged public order offence.

The evening train was delayed for up to one hour as a result of the incident.
