Cloghans Hill NS pupil (6) wins All-Ireland scratch award
CLOGHANS Hill National School in south Mayo had three finalists in the national scratch finals in the University of Limerick with one caterory winner, Tiernan Mangan.
Whittled down from over 500 entries ranging in age from junior infants to Leaving Certificate, Cloghans Hill NS was thrilled that three of their projects made it to the final round.
Padraic Godwin took his project, On the Farm, to the 5th and 6th class section.
Cian Mangan took his project, Cian's Star Wars Maths Game, to the 3rd and 4th class section while Tiernan Mangan took his Ninja Slayer Game to the Junior infants to 1st class section.
All the boys were awarded with finalists' medals and, during the awards ceremony, Tiernan Mangan was named as the winner of his category.
A great achievement.
