Ronnie is found safe and well in Bristol after being missing for three months
A 40-year-old Irishman missing for almost three months has turned up safe and well in a hospital in England.
Ronnie Maloney disappeared without trace from his home in Castlebar on February 6.
Despite widespread local searches over an eleven-week period no trace was found of Mr. Maloney who is six foot two inches tall and speaks with an English accent.
But a breakthrough came this week when an alert nurse at a hospital conducted a search on Google and discovered her patient was on a missing persons' list in Ireland.
Castlebar-based Supt Joe McKenna confirmed this afternoon (Thursday) that Mr. Maloney, who featured on a missing persons' list on this week's CrimeCall programme on RTÉ, has been found safe and well.
“I want to thank members of the public from all over Ireland who rang in what they were believed to be sightings of Ronnie in recent weeks,” the Supt. continued.
