Moy Singers' concert features impressive line-up of musical talent
THE Moy Singers present an evening of song and music tonight at the Great National Hotel Ballina.
Songs will be performed by many solo artists, including the highly acclaimed classical baritone and recently appointed director of the choir, Jonathan Carter, who is a tutor at the Sligo Academy of Music and choir master to Sligo Grammer School’s Salso Choir.
Always one of the most popular concerts in the choral calendar, among the Moy Singers' impressive line-up of musical artists on the night are soloist Catherine Egan, pianist Aoifín Shorten, cellist Anna Houston, flautist Mary Ruane Brogan, and percussionist and bass guitarist Liam Lynch.
A well-established community choir, the Moy Singers have been entertaining the public for the best part of 31 years at home and abroad. They regularly perform at the Mayo International Choral Festival each May and in keeping with the tradition of the choir's many trips overseas, they performed to huge acclaim at the Vienna Music Festival last October.
Highly regarded ambassadors for Ballina and its surrounding region, the choir have performed at many events and for many dignitaries over the years.
Tonight (Friday, May 12), the Moy Singers invite you to relax, sing and enjoy the impressive musical talent on show at the Great National Hotel Ballina.
