The Neale Ladies GAA Club pay tribute to deceased member
THE Neale GAA Ladies Club has paid tribute to one of their much-loved members, Orla O’Malley, Cordroon, Cross, who died from injuries sustained in a road collision in Tourmakeady last weekend.
The tribute, posted on the club's Facebook page, stated: “It is with profound sadness we learn of the tragic death of Orla. She was a talented footballer who wore the number 9 jersey with maturity beyond her years.
“Off the pitch she was always happy and her smile was infectious. Our thoughts and prayers are with her parents Michael and Delores, her brother Shane, extended family, friends, neighbours and teammates.
'Ar Dheis De Lena anam dilis.”
The remains of the deceased will be reposing at her residence on Thursday evening from 3 to 8 p.m.
Removal takes place on Friday for Requiem Mass at 1 p.m. in the Church of The Sacred Heart, Cross. Burial takes place afterwards in Cross East Cemetery, Cross.
Deepest sympathy is extended to her heartbroken parents Michael and Dolores, her brother Shane, grandparents John and Mary O’Malley, grandmother Maureen Tobin, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and large circle of friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather Eamon Tobin.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
