Funeral of victim of Claremorris road accident

THE funeral arrangements have been announced for James (Jim) Casey, Castlecarra, Carnacon, Ballyglass, who died after he was struck by a car on the N60 at Logatemple, Claremorris, yesterday.

His remains will be reposing at Coady's Funeral Home tomorrow (Monday) evening from 5 p.m. with removal to his residence at 7 p.m.

Requiem Mass takes place on Tuesday at 12 noon in St. Mary's Church, Carnacon, with burial afterwards in Burriscarrra Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughters Marie Jordan (Ballinasloe), Beatrice Casey (Castlecarra), Helen Summerville (Ballintubber) and Orla Johnson (Castlecarra), sons-in-law Ray, Christy and Sean, sister Anne Sheridan (UK), grandchildren Dara, Aoife, Ryan, Abbie, Ava and baby Leah, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, to whom heartfelt sympathy is tendered.

A much-loved and respected member of the community, Jim was predeceased by his wife, Ann.
