Minister congratulates 1,583 Mayo students who received first round CAO offers
THE Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring, has congratulated the 1,583 students in Mayo who received a first round CAO offer today.Â
“I warmly congratulate the more than 1,583 students in Mayo who today received a first round offer from the CAO.Â
“This is a hugely exciting time for them and comes after a really challenging year. For those who choose to pursue a third level course, they are about to embark on what can be an extremely exciting and rewarding phase of their lives and I wish them the very best.Â
“To those who did not get a first round offer, I urge them not to lose hope. They may well get an offer of a suitable course in the next round of offers.
“As our economy emerges from a very difficult period, many new opportunities have opened up for young people, in the further education and training sector, including traineeships and apprenticeships, as well as in the third level sector. Â
People should take time to look at all the options that are open to them and which can lead to their chosen career path†he stated. Â
