Mayo mascot had its legs ripped off in act of mindless vandalism
GARDAÍ in Ballina are investigating an act of mindless vandalism in the town earlier today in which a Mayo mascot was vandalised.
The incident occurred at the junction of Kevin Barry Street and the Font.
The Ballina Costume Company posted on its social media platform that their mascot had its legs ripped off in the incident.
“It would have taken time to do the amount of damage that was done to the mascot. So we are hoping that somebody may have witnessed the act or some part of it.”
Anybody with information should contact the company at 096-72154 or Ballina Garda Station.
