Marie and Bernard officially launch Mayo Social Inclusion Week

MAYO Social Inclusion Week 2017 was officially launched today by Marian Orme and Bernard McDonnell, stars of the national award winning film 'Silent Moves',

Marie and Bernard are natives of Straide.

The movie will fittingly be screened in the Davitt Hall, Straide, at 8.45 p.m on Saturday, October 21.

Speakers at the launch included Richard Finn, cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council, Declan Turnbull, Mayo County Council, Councillor Neil Cruise, chair LCDC Social Inclusion Working Group and Ann Marie McLoughlin.

Mayo Social Inclusion Week, which is packed with events and activities, runs from Monday, October 16 to Saturday, October 21.
