Man faces trial on 'harassment' charges
THE trial of a man charged with harassing four females at various locations in a west of Ireland town will get underway before Judge Rory MacCabe and a jury at the Circuit Criminal Court in Castlebar tomorrow (Wednesday).
The accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is pleading not guilty to the four charges of harassment taken against him contrary to Section 10 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act.
The offences allegedly were committed between July 5 and August 9 last year.
A 12 person jury – seven males and five females – has been empanelled to hear the case which is expected to last a number of days.
