Two arrested after bag stolen at Mayo Abbey Church is recovered

TWO men were arrested in Roscommon today in connection with recent thefts from parked cars in the Mayo/Roscommon area.

One of the break-ins involved a handbag taken from a car parked at Mayo Abbey Church between 8.40 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. yesterday

It is understood that the bag taken has been recovered.

Apart from the Mayo Abbey incident, the suspects are also being questioned by gardai in Roscommon about other recent break-ins to vehicles in the region.
