Monthly meeting of Mayo County Council postponed .

TAKING into account the public safety messages that have been issued regarding the Level Red Severe weather warning the monthly meeting of Mayo County Council scheduled to take place today at 3 p.m. has been postponed.

A re-scheduled date will be proposed following consultation with the cathaoirleach, Councillor Richard Finn.

Mayo County Council will continue to monitor the situation and make whatever responses are appropriate.

Meanwhile, the Coroner for the District of Mayo, Pat O'Connor, in consultation with Supt Joe McKenna, has announced that all inquests scheduled to take place in the Courthouse Castlebar today have been adjourned to a date in November or December.
