South Mayo community in mourning
A SOUTH Mayo community is mourning the passing of Elaine Connolly (née O’Malley). Lahinch, Hollymount, and formerly of Ballynew, Ballinrobe.
Her death occurred after a hard-fought illness, surrounded by her loving family.
A much loved and affable personality, she was a devoted wife to her heartbroken husband Oliver (Ollie) and a wonderful mother to her daughter Lucy.
Elaine is also survived by her parents Paddy and Bernie, mother-in-law May, sisters Sinead, Lily, Ailish and Edel (London), brothers-in-law Marc, J.P, Thomas, Chris, Tom, Mike, Kevin, Noel and Ray, sisters-in-law Mary, Assumpta, Ann, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family, neighbours and large circle of friends.
Her remains will be reposing at Cummins Funeral Home, Ballinrobe, on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
A private removal takes place on Friday from her home to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Roundfort, for Requiem Mass at 12.30 o clock with burial immediately afterwards in Roundfort Cemetery.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
