Mayo face Harps in EA Sports Cup first round

THE Mayo League are one of four non-league teams set for big games in the 2018 EA Sports Cup.

The first round draw, made earlier today, sees Mayo travel to take on Donegal's Finn Harps in a Pool 2 game.

The competition will get underway on Monday, March 5, with the Harps v Mayo League game scheduled to start at 7.45 p.m.

Other non-league teams taking part include UCC, Cockhill Celtic and St. Mochta's.

The other game in Mayo's pool sees Galway United entertain Cockhill Celtic. Sligo Rovers and Derry City have received byes.

Before the locals head north, Finn Harps will be sending a team to Mayo to take on Manulla in a pre-season friendly. That game will take place on Saturday, February 17, in Carrowmore, with tickets at €5 each available for purchase from Manulla club members in the coming days.
