Court sittings cancelled

THE weather has affected court sittings in Mayo, with courts tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday being adjourned.

The following notice issued from the District Court Office in Castlebar this afternoon:

The District Court sitting in Castlebar tomorrow, 1st March, has been adjourned due to the severe weather. All cases will stand adjourned to Castlebar Court on 15th March, 2018, at 10.30 am. Any defendants remanded in custody are remanded to the next sitting in the District which is in Castlebar on 6th March, 2018, at 10.30 a.m.

The District Court sitting in Ballina on Friday, 2nd March, has been adjourned due to the severe weather. All cases will stand adjourned to Ballina Court on 6th April, 2018, at 10.30 a.m.

All licencing matters listed for tomorrow's court will be lsited for next Tuesday, 6th March, in Castlebar at 10.30 a.m.
