Kiltimagh added to water restrictions list
CUSTOMERS supplied from the Louisburgh and Kiltimagh public water supplies are advised that there will be restrictions placed on both supplies tonight (Tuesday) and tomorrow night (Wednesday) from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
Irish Water say the restrictions are necessary due to unprecedented demand.
Customers on these supplies and across the county are being asked to conserve water to avoid reservoirs emptying and water pressure to homes and businesses being affected.
Across Mayo there are issues with high demand and Irish Water is appealing to customers to turn off taps and check for leaks on their properties.
The Lough Mask supply is at capacity with high demand also being registered on the Achill, Mulranny, Westport, Erris and Ballina water supply schemes.
Information on dealing with frozen pipes is available on www.water.ie and water supply updates are available at www.water.ie/water-supply/supply-and-service-update/.
