Keegan in battle to be fit for championship opener

MAYO star Lee Keegan is facing a battle to be fit for the Connaught SFC opener against Galway in Castlebar on May 13.

Infomed sources have confirmed that the shoulder injury he sustained in a challenge which earned Tyrone's Padraig McNulty a red card in yesterday's Allianz National League clash has put the Westport star's hopes of starting the championship in some doubt.

However, there is better news concering the hamstring injury sustained by Cillian O'Connor. He is expected to resume full training in a number of weeks.
