Mystery motorbike is subject of much local comment

WHAT'S the story with the mystery motorcycle/moped which is tethered to a pole at Chapel Street, Castlebar.

The presence of the vehicle, which seemingly hasn't been moved since it was first parked many months ago, is the subject of much local comment and speculation.

One theory, highly fanciful, is that the bike has been fitted with miniature cameras as part of a covert surveillance operation.

The real reason for the presence of the vehicle is probably much more mundane.

Any explanations or suggestions?
